Dr. Stephen King, Emeritus

Dear PAMPA Families,

With mixed emotions, I would like to announce that I am retiring from PAMPA effective July 10, 2018.

It has been my great honor to have worked with the finest group of pediatricians in Atlanta for 44 years.

I have also been fortunate to have worked with a great staff that has been caring, knowledgeable and efficient. They have helped me in countless ways over the years and truly are my extended family.

Finally, I cannot thank my wonderful patients enough for what they have taught me. I will forever be grateful to them for allowing me to guide them and participate in their care. Having the opportunity to watch — my patients grow and then in many cases, see the children of those grown up patients has been a true honor. There are no words sufficient to describe the satisfaction I have received from helping my patients be happy and healthy.

I have great confidence in my associates and staff who will continue to provide my patients with quality pediatric care. I trust them with my most precious assets, my grandchildren and my patients! I would be happy to discuss a transition to another provider with you should you want my guidance.

As Yogi Berra once said, "if you don't know where you are going, you will never get there." I have known my purpose for a very long time. I wanted to make children smile and help them be healthy. I think we have accomplished that, so I have gotten "There" in Yogi terms.

I hope I have served you well and as I bid you farewell, I want you to know that you have been like a family to me. I love you all, and so I hope you will live long and prosper.
