Flu Vaccine 2018

We are happy to announce that we have received this year’s influenza vaccine. We are scheduling appointments in all four offices for patients ages 6 months and older as well as their parents.

There is no reason to delay your flu vaccine. A flu vaccine given now will provide immunity that will last throughout the flu season. However, it does take about two weeks for the vaccine to produce immunity so it is important not to wait too long to receive it.

For complete information on the influenza vaccines, please read over the vaccine information statement by following this link:

During flu season, the doctors remind us that we can all take measures to prevent the spread of respiratory diseases like flu by doing the following:

  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or your bent arm when you cough or sneeze.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water or use antibacterial hand gel.
  • An ill individual should stay at home until fever free for 24 hours.

September Break Well Visit?

We still have openings for the remainder of September. If your child has a September Break from school, consider coming in for their important well child check up visit. It is a great opportunity to get remaining school and athletic forms completed as well as get influenza and other vaccinations updated.
