Dear P.A.M.P.A. Families,

We are pleased to announce that we have received the remainder of our injectable seasonal flu vaccine order in all four of our offices and are able to offer appointments for all age groups.

While the media coverage of flu this year has focused on the H1N1 strain, seasonal flu has yet to arrive in our area. There is still time to protect your family from the seasonal flu by receiving the vaccine.

In addition to the inactivated vaccine for seasonal influenza, we do have a small supply of H1N1 mist available at this time. We do expect to receive additional H1N1 injectable vaccine from the state and will send another blast email when it arrives.

During flu season, the doctors remind us that we can all take measures to prevent the spread of respiratory diseases like flu by doing the following:

• Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or your bent arm when you cough or sneeze.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze.
• Use antibacterial hand gel when anyone in the household is ill.
• The ill individual should stay at home until there is no fever for 24 hours.
