Dear P.A.M.P.A. Families,

We are pleased to announce that we have received a limited supply of injectable H1N1 flu vaccine in all four of our offices and are able to offer appointments for all age groups.

In addition to the inactivated vaccine for H1N1 influenza, we do have injectable seasonal influenza vaccine available at this time. We do not expect any further vaccine shipments so do not delay scheduling your child’s appointment. Because seasonal flu has not yet arrived in the Atlanta area, there is still time to protect your child from this disease.

The following are measures we can all take to prevent the spread of respiratory diseases like flu:

• Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or your bent arm when you cough or sneeze.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze.
• Use antibacterial hand gel when anyone in the household is ill.
• The ill individual should stay at home until there is no fever for 24 hours.
