PAMPA Pediatrics Newsletter

Dear PAMPA Families,

The providers and staff of PAMPA are grateful to all of you for your patience and adaptability during these unprecedented times.

We are happy to announce that our Roswell office will be resume patient visits on Monday, May 4th. We would like to thank you all for your flexibility during this temporary time.

All of our offices continue to take the necessary precautions to keep you and your children safe. These measures include:  separate exam rooms for sick and well patients, screening temperatures for all who enter the office, directing patients directly to an exam room to avoid the common waiting areas, and frequently sanitizing the office and exam rooms. We ask that you limit the number of family members accompanying a patient to one parent or guardian if your situation allows. In addition, if you have access to a medical or cloth mask, please wear one to your visit as these masks has been shown to decrease the asymptomatic spread of Coronavirus.

Our providers have successfully implemented Telemedicine into our daily schedules! Telemedicine visits provide real time audio and visual appointments from the safety of your home. If your child is due for an ADHD or mental health re-check, please inquire if a Telehealth visit is appropriate for you. We are also providing Telehealth visits for some concerns that may not require an in-person exam.

PAMPA, along with the American Academy of Pediatrics, highly encourage you to keep your regularly scheduled well visits.¬†Annual well check ups allow us to monitor your child’s growth and development as well as their mental and physical health. In addition, it is imperative that children of all ages continue to receive their scheduled immunizations to prevent the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases. Based on these recommendations, demand for well visits has increased. We encourage you to call to schedule a time at your earliest convenience.

If you have a concern that your child has symptoms of COVID-19 or has been exposed to someone who may have COVID-19, please let us know when you call the office. Symptoms of Coronavirus may occur 2-14 days after exposure and include fever, fatigue, cough, shortness of breath, and sometimes gastrointestinal manifestations such as diarrhea.

As always, you are all on our minds during this national pandemic. Please stay well and safe and know that we are here for you for any questions or concerns.

All Our Best,

The Providers and Staff of PAMPA
